    Has no HDMI output/passthrough port of any kind — connecting a console or handheld here means the only way to see the gameplay is through the capture preview window on the receiving computer, introducing perceptible input-to-display lag. To both play locally and capture, an external HDMI splitter is mandatory. Outright refuses any HDCP-encrypted signal.

    Does not work via dock — Windows 11 and Elgato's 4K Capture Utility both detect the Cam Link 4K, but there is no video input and OBS Studio shows a black screen.
