Reaching dual 5K requires monopolizing two physical DisplayPort ports per 5K panel. Although the chassis has eight physical video connectors, the internal logic groups them in four pairs (one HDMI + one DisplayPort each), forcing a choice of HDMI or DisplayPort per independent video stream — eight simultaneous monitors is not possible. Jumbo Frames support has been discontinued at the macOS driver layer.
